Adapteva, a Massachusetts based startup has announced a credit card sized, $99 supercomputer “Parallella” that anyone can own. After the very successful Raspberry Pi, credit card microcomputers are in fashion. But Parallella is not an average microcomputer like Raspberry Pi, it is 50 times more powerful than that. This is achieved by Adapteva’s 16-core and 64-core Epiphany microprocessor chips that lead the world in processor energy efficiency.
