We have been hearing about Ubuntu Phones for quite sometime now. Rumors peaked in last January when leaked video of Meizu MX3 running Ubuntu surfaced. It was speculated that Meizu will unveil first Ubuntu powered smartphone in CES 2014, but it turned out to be just a rumor.
Meizu unveils first Ubuntu smartphone
Meizu, a known smartphone brand in China, has unveiled its flagship MX3 phones running Ubuntu in Mobile Asia Expo 2014, Shanghai. Enthusiastic users can visit Meizu stall to get their hands on the first official Ubuntu smartphone (not counting Ubuntu running on Nexus phones).

No release dates, either in China or in rest of the world, or price information is available as of yet. I’ll be updating as the details start to come in. Stay tuned.
