World's fastest super computer runs ubuntu

It is no news that most of the world’s fastest supercomputers run Linux. But Ubuntu lovers have one more reason to cheer about, World’s fastest supercomputer Tianhe-2 runs in form of Ubuntu Kylin.

Mark Shuttleworth pointed it out during his speech at OpenStack summit. You can see the complete video of the speech below:

Ubuntu Kylin is an official flavor of Ubuntu for Chinese users while Tianhe-2 is 33.86 petaflops supercomputer located in Sun Yat-Sen University in Guangzhou, China. Tianhe-2 was declared world’s fastest supercomputer in 2013 by Top 500.
