Ubuntu 15.04 is following its release schedule to launch the final version in April’15. In fact some of you might have already did the upgrade to Ubuntu 15.04 beta. As the ‘Ubuntu tradition’ goes, a wallpaper contest is announced where users from across the globe submit their entries. Based on voting, 10-15 entries are selected to be included as the default set of wallpapers in the next release.
For the upcoming Ubuntu 15.04, the winners of the wallpaper contest has been announced. There are altogether ten wallpapers this time. You can have a look at the all here:

You can download all the wallpapers from the link below. Though the downloaded file has extension .zip, it is not actually in zip format. Rename the file to replace .zip extension with .tar.xz and then you should be able to extract it.

The main default wallpaper, the purple one which would set by default in any new release is not revealed yet. I’ll update the article once it is revealed.
The default Ubuntu 15.04 background has been unveiled. As you can see below, it’s more dark this time but the purple theme is still there.
