Now, it is possible that your email service provider doesn't show the FOSS Weekly emails to you. They want to reduce spam (junk email), and sometimes they wrongly consider periodic informational emails like FOSS Weekly as spam, too.

Here's what you can do to take the matter in your hands and send signals to your email service provider that you want to see the emails from It's FOSS:

  • Add [email protected] to your contact list. This is the email address that is used for sending the emails.
  • If you are using Gmail and getting the FOSS Weekly emails in Promotions tab, you should at least star it and move it to inbox. This sends a signal that you like the FOSS Weekly email newsletters.
  • Try to open the newsletter as often as possible. The more you open the emails, the more prominent they get in your inbox.

I don't like the way Google and other Big Tech push the idea of what they think you should see instead of what you think you should see, be it on social media platforms or news feed or email inbox. But that's how it is and the best we can do is to send them signals on the type of content we would like to see.
