## 💡 Quick handy tip

Similar to what we see in a web browser; where we can access the address bar with *CTRL + L*, the nautilus address bar can also be navigated to using the same shortcut.

This works on the “save as” dialog too, which makes it useful when saving files with names. Just press *CTRL+L* to access the name part of the file.

In both cases, I tried recovery, booting to different kernels, etc. Debian seems to jam at the Gnome Display Manager; it freezes for about 20 seconds and the letters on…![](https://itsfoss.community/uploads/default/optimized/1X/f274f9749e3fd8b4d6fbae1cf90c5c186d2f699c_2_180x180.png)It's FOSS Communitycliffsloane![](https://itsfoss.community/uploads/default/original/1X/f274f9749e3fd8b4d6fbae1cf90c5c186d2f699c.png)](https://itsfoss.community/t/vmware-machines-and-failed-gnome-displays/11601?ref=itsfoss.com)
