Among all the [Ubuntu flavors](https://ubuntu.com/desktop/flavours?ref=itsfoss.com), Ubuntu Budgie is the one that stands out for me, as it uses the Budgie desktop environment, which looks and feels familiar, yet has a distinct user experience.

All that is made possible by the [Buddies of Budgie](https://buddiesofbudgie.org/?ref=itsfoss.com), who work on developing what they refer to as “*a luxurious home computing experience”*. In the recent wave of Ubuntu flavor releases, the developers have rolled out **Ubuntu Budgie 24.04 LTS**.

Before we proceed, do keep in mind that these changes are in comparison to the previous Ubuntu Budgie 22.04 LTS release. So, if you are on 23.10, then you might notice fewer changes with this new release.
