[I switched to it late last year](https://itsfoss.com/switched-to-proton-vpn-thoughts/), and my experience with it so far has been great. I use it across multiple platforms like **Linux**, **Windows**, and **Android**, with the overall app design varying between them. That is not an issue for someone like me, but a user who doesn't like to juggle between different interface designs would most likely get confused and might consider switching to a different VPN provider. It now features a revised interface, the ability to pin connections to the top, and a new Settings menu page that provides easy access to advanced functionality like [Kill Switch](https://protonvpn.com/support/what-is-kill-switch?ref=itsfoss.com), [Port Forwarding](https://protonvpn.com/support/port-forwarding?ref=itsfoss.com), and [Split Tunnelling](https://protonvpn.com/support/protonvpn-split-tunneling?ref=itsfoss.com). Similarly, if you like using [connection profiles](https://protonvpn.com/support/connection-profiles?ref=itsfoss.com) on Android, then you will be glad to hear that **the Windows app now allows you to create custom profiles**, with a dedicated “*Profiles*” button being provided on the left-hand sidebar. (Source: Proton)* For iOS, **the *Home* screen of the app has been updated** to make it easier to navigate, with the same connection pinning feature as the Windows app also being introduced here. Unfortunately, **there are no updates for Linux this time**. A refresh with new features or a redesign for the Proton VPN app would have been a welcome change. Instead, the Linux app continues to feel like a relic of the past. 🥲 Announcing these updates, [David Peterson](https://www.linkedin.com/in/davidgpeterson/?ref=itsfoss.com), General Manager at Proton VPN, added that: > VPN tools and features can feel intimidating or complex, especially for new users, limiting their ability to fully benefit from what a VPN has to offer.
