# openSUSE Leap 15.5 Release Arrives With KDE Plasma 5.27 and Vim 9.0

### OpenH264 Repository

Yes, you read that right. openSUSE Leap now has the [**OpenH264**](https://github.com/cisco/openh264?ref=itsfoss.com) repository enabled by default, resulting in **better video encoding and decoding for real-time applications** such as [WebRTC](https://webrtc.org/?ref=itsfoss.com).

This was thanks to the contributions made by [Cisco](https://www.cisco.com/?ref=itsfoss.com) via their open-source program under [Outshift](https://eti.cisco.com/?ref=itsfoss.com).

### Vim Editor Upgrades
