I admit there's a long way to go before Linux distributions and [open source video editors](https://itsfoss.com/open-source-video-editors/) become the predominant choice for content creators, but the video editing scene on Linux has grown significantly in recent years, with more editors and tools being built with Linux in mind.

[Flowblade](https://jliljebl.github.io/flowblade/?ref=itsfoss.com) is a video editor app that provides a powerful non-linear editing experience that is tailored for fast workflows and robust editing. A new release sees it receive many enhancements that make it a more powerful editor.

## Flowblade 2.20: What to Expect?

The first of the new additions is the **Sequence Link Container Clips** feature, which allows sequences to be used as parts of other sequences. These linked clips can then be updated to reflect any changes made to the original sequence.

For sync editing, two new actions have been introduced. **Sync All Clips** allows all clips on a track to be linked to the nearest clip on a chosen target track, which is remembered for future adjustments. Update Sync to Clips' Positions refreshes these links based on the clips' current positions relative to the previously selected target track.

There are also the newly added **keyframe animation presets**, which introduce a faster way of applying commonly used animations such as zooms and slide-ins with a click. These can be accessed from the keyframe editor's hamburger menu.

Wrapping up, there are **some other additions and bug fixes** you should know about:

- A UX tweak to refine the monitor player button row.
- A fix was applied for a typo issue with Credit Scroll.
- A multi-item popup menu was added to the Media Panel.
- The Cyan color was removed from the box selection display.
- A “*Delete*” item was added to the Media Panel's hamburger menu.
- Zoom and shakiness parameters were added to the Stabilization filter.
